ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organisation Faisalabad has impounded a non-duty paid Hino truck worth Rs 3.6 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 1.36 million.
As per details, ASO team on an information received through Assistant Collector Umer bin Zaffar Chattha intercepted a truck bearing registration no AE-1365 near Dajil village, Bhakkar for the verification of the documents.
The ASO team, comprising Inspector Anser Saleemi, Muhammad Umer Bhatti, Rana Muhammad Ashrif, Muhammad Yaqoob Umer, asked the driver, Afsar Khan to produce documents for the legal possession of the vehicle but he had failed to prove the legal possession of the vehicle. On which, the customs impounded the truck under Section 168 of Customs Act, 1969.
