KARACHI: A five-member committee of the Appraisement-East would award contracts for installation of two telephone exchanges and IT hardware on Thursday (today) at 4pm through open bidding process.
By 3pm around 10 bids were received by the Collectorate for the installation of two telephone exchanges and IT hardware, including purchase of computers and accessories. Two of these bids pertained to the installation of the two telephone exchanges while the remaining pertained to purchase of IT hardware.
The bids would be opened in the presence of the representatives of the bidders by the five-member committee.
The committee is headed by Additional Collector-I Zeba Bashir Ahmad. The other four members are; Additional Collector II Muhammad Tahir; Additional Collector IV Dr Shahab Imam; Deputy Collector (Hqrs) Rahmatulah Vistro and Deputy Collector (R&D) Rizwan Ahmed.
The committee has been formed for opening the tender, scrutinising the bids and making recommendations after analysis of the bids in conformity with the prescribed procedure.
The collectorate has floated a number of tenders to facilitate the taxpayers. The renovation and paint work has already been completed. A CCTV system, comprising 16 cameras, has also been installed at various sections of the collectorate to let Collector Najeeb Abbasi monitor the waiting and hearing areas and appraiser halls of the collectorate located on the ground, mezzanine and first floor.
