BEIJING: Apple is hoping to bring its mPayment service to China by February, according to new reports.
China’s electronic payments market is booming, but the fact it is dominated by deep-rooted rivals will make it tough for Apple to grow its user base in the region.
While the mobile payments service will be available exclusively in South Korea at its initial launch, it is unclear as to whether or not the service will move to an worldwide market.
“What better way to do this, than to offer MasterCard customers using Apple Pay the chance to travel for free over the next four consecutive Mondays”.
