ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized drugs worth Rs 26 billion and arrested 10 accused in seven operations until June 25, 2015.
According to details, the Anti-Narcotics Force conducted seven operations and recovered drugs worth Rs 26 billion, including 10 tonnes of hashish, 517 kilogrammes of morphine and 55 kilogrammes of opium, while three vehicles were also impounded during the operation.
Sources said that during an operation near Haji Morr, GT Road, Attock, the ANF recovered six kilogrammes of hashish from Ajab Din and arrested him on the spot. During other operations in Qilla Abdullah, seven tonnes of hashish and 517 kilogrammes of morphine were recovered in Kulli Sobian, while two tonnes of hashish and 55kg opium were recovered from a public bus near Revive Road, Rais Ghot, during the anti-narcotics drive.
It is important to mention here that the ANF team carried out a successful operation and intercepted a Toyota car at Jhangi Syedan on June 16, 2015. During search of the vehicle, 10kg heroin was recovered from Aqal Khan, son of Yar Khan, a resident of Khyber Agency. The accused was arrested on the spot, while sources say that he was the leader of a gang of smugglers.
