LAHORE: Anti-Narcotics Force has arrested a large number of drug peddlers while recovering heroin, charas and opium worth millions of rupees during various operations in the city, said an official source.
ANF Lahore arrested a resident of Sialkot and recovered 600 grams of heroin from a consignment destined for UK at cargo shed at Allama Iqbal International Airport. Heroin was concealed in hard balls.
ANF Lahore arrested a resident of Multan and recovered 500 grams opium from his possession. The accused was arrested at Kabirwala Bypass, District Khanewal.
ANF Lahore Airport team arrested three persons including a female resident of Lahore, three men from Faisalabad, Lahore and Chiniot and recovered 1.310 kg heroin. They were to travel from Lahore to Dubai through PIA flight. Heroin was concealed in their trolley bags. After initial investigation, source of supply was also arrested from Ali Park, near Township, Lahore.
ANF Lahore arrested another resident of Faisalabad at Allam Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 650 grams of heroin from his possession, which was tactfully concealed in cosmetics bottles.
ANF Lahore arrested a person belonging to Charsadda and recovered 200 grams of heroin from his personal possession. The accused was arrested at Circular Road, Lahore.
ANF Lahore arrested a man from Sheikhupura and recovered 500 grams charas from his personal possession. The accused was arrested at Motorway Interchange Toll Plaza, Sheikhupura.
ANF Lahore arrested a man resident of Lahore and recovered 1.5 kg charas from his personal possession. The accused was arrested at Niazi Bus Stand, Band Road, Lahore.
ANF Lahore intercepted a consignment being booked for Canada through Skynet World Wide Express, Gulberg III, Lahore and recovered 170 grams of heroin, which was tactfully concealed in pair of shoes.
ANF Lahore intercepted another consignment being booked for USA through DHL Express Lahore and recovered 45 grams charas, which was tactfully concealed in CD covers.
All cases have been registered in ANF Police stations and further investigations are under process.
