LAHORE: Anti Narcotics Force burnt mounds of illicit drugs including charas and opium at the Wagha Border on International Day against drug abuse.
ANF Lahore burnt several mounds of charas, opium and other drugs. Narcotics Control division also arranged various activities to mark the day in befitting manner. ANF also burned tonnes of narcotics in various other cities including Quetta, Karachi and Islamabad.
International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1987. This day serves as a reminder of the goals agreed to by Member States of creating an international society free of drug abuse.
