ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotic Force foiled an attempt of smuggling and recovered more than a kilo of heroin from a passenger at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad and arrested the accused on the spot.
According to details, the Anti-Narcotic Force recovered heroin from a passenger Adnan Shah during search of his luggage. The drug was recovered from the secret cavities of his luggage.
During interrogation, it was revealed that Adnan Shah wanted to smuggle 1.2kg heroin to Dubai from Islamabad.
It is important to mention here that the ANF has streamlined its checking process and now all the international flights landing in Pakistan are checked to counter the inflow of drugs into the country. In the past, only the outward trafficking of drugs was monitored.
