NSW Police have swooped on a massive haul of ice, seizing almost $400m worth of the drug that was bound for the streets.
Strike Force Ferguson was set up to investigate international contract networks in the supply of drugs in Australia.
As part of their investigations, last month a container declared having clothing inside it came to the attention of Australian Border Force authorities at the Sydney Container Examination Facility near Port Botany.
When they dismantled the container they found 500kgs of methamphetamine, also known as the drug ice There were 500 packages spread across six of the ten pallets, with a street value of $375 million.
Detectives arrested on four men aged 35, 33, 36 and 55 from the St George Kogarah area Three were refused bail. They will be fronting Sutherland Local Court today.
