KARACHI: The Pakistan Customs is bringing the Afghan Transit reverse-commercial cargo on the Web-based One Customs (WeBOC) to ensure transparency in the entire process. Besides, the WeBOC system would help track the containers by just entering the specified codes.
The officials at the Directorate of Reforms and Automation told Customs Today that the process had also been completed. However, the testing was underway with the system. “The automation of the system would not only ensure the transparency but would facilitate the movement of the cargo,” sources added.
Sources said that the introduction of the WeBOC would stop the large scale corruption in the customs and it is hoped that each and everything would be automated very soon.
