PESHAWAR: The Customs Tribunal Court has accepted the bail of one Irshad Nabi and set him free from the charge of smuggling of Non-Duty-Paid goods and a vehicle on Tuesday.
Accused Irshad Nabi was intercepted by the customs staff posted on the Torkham Border on the charges of smuggling a vehicle loaded with LEDs, cloths and other electronics brought into Pakistan without proper documents and their seizure which was more than the allowed capacity at the border crossing.
The accused informed the Customs Tribunal Court that he had the genuine documents but he failed to show them at the time of impounding the loader and goods. The accused maintained that he had brought the items for business purposes to Pakistan from Afghanistan.
Upon checking the documents of the goods and the vehicle and the purchase receipt examined by the Customs Tribunal Court, Irshad Nabi was allowed to go.
