MANILA: Seven collection districts of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) have exceeded their targets in 2015 with over P3 billion in surplus.
With this, Commissioner Alberto Lina commended the agency’s top-performing collection districts that contributed to the entire bureau’s revenue of P368 billion in 2015.
Sixteen (16) among 31 sub-ports exceeded their respective targets in terms of nominal amount and percentage deviation.
Lina also recognized the seven collection districts whose combined collection of the main port and sub-ports exceeded targets: Surigao – P12.2 million, P18.7 million, and P6.5 million; Clark – P1.160 billion (target), P1.284 billion (actual), and P124 million (surplus); Legaspi – P147.8 million, P324.2 million, and P176.4 million; Davao – P10.558 billion, P11.56 billion, and P598 million; Cebu – P15.605 billion, P16.529 billion, and P925 million; Iloilo – P1.349 billion, P2.308 billion, and P959 million; Zamboanga – P66 million, P180.6 million, and P114.6 million and its main port, P61.5 million, P174.2 million, and P112.7 million.
In terms of collection performance, the BOC lauded the top three collection districts: Cebu, Iloilo and Davao.
Certificates of recognition were presented to the top revenue performers by BOC Collection Services during the start of bureau’s week-long anniversary celebration.
