LAHORE: Anti-Narcotics Force has seized 1.94 kg heroin, 1.2 kg opium and 118 kg charas and arrested five drug peddlers. ANF conducted seven operations in Lahore and other cities of the country said an official source.
On receiving information, ANF Lahore recovered 30 kg charas and 1.2 kg opium from a car. Heroin was concealed in the floor of car registered No LOC-7022, which was intercepted near Shekhupura Interchange. Two persons onboard have also been arrested, a resident of Swabi and a resident of Haripur.
ANF Lahore also seized a parcel booked through DHL Courier Company and recovered 900 grams of heroin. The parcel contained two cartons of kitchen pots (steel and plastic) inside which heroin was tactfully concealed. The parcel was sent by a resident of Mughal Pura, Lahore and was destined for a resident of UK.
Similarly, in another case ANF Lahore seized 540 grams of heroin, which was concealed inside printed menu cards. The cards were sent by a resident of Allama Iqbal Road, Lahore and destined for a resident of UK.
ANF Rawalpindi on information conducted an operation near bus stop at Dina and recovered 6 kg charas from a resident of Jehlum. ANF Rawalpindi on information conducted an operation and recovered 0.5 kg heroin and 1 kg charas from a resident of Charsadda. He was arrested while travelling on bus at Haji Shah Mor near Attock.
ANF Quetta seized 80 kg charas from village Dihat, near Merani Dam-Turbat Road. The drugs were concealed in folds of broken ground near the road for handing over to another narco-gang.
ANF Peshawar arrested a resident of Dera Ismaeel Khan and recovered 1.2 kg charas from his personal possession. He was arrested near Basti Dirkhana Wali, Deenpur Road, Dera Ismaeel Khan.
Cases have been registered at ANF Police Stations and further investigations are under process.
