KARACHI: K-Electric has launched a vigorous Anti-Theft Campaign across the city and removed 1000 illegal hook connections in the SITE area. The company warned against illegal use of power, saying that the company was committed to eliminating the menace of electricity theft in its jurisdiction.
According to the company’s press release, the K-Electric took stern action against Kundas in SITE area and removed more than 1000 illegal hook connections.
The statement added that the KE staff faced resistance from defaulters and illegal hook users in the area, but despite confrontation, the illegal connections were removed.
The company said that apart from 1,000 hook connections, other equipment including 48 Meter, 35mm2 cable used to set-up these hook connections were confiscated.
The release informed that consumers of 20 PMTs in SITE area owed millions of rupees to the utility company and recovery ratio of monthly bills had fallen very low.
