MUMBAI: Xiaomi the Chinese mobile manufacturer is now in partnership with The Mobile Store India. The firm announced that its Redmi Note 4G and Mi 4 smartphones will soon be available for sale at the official rock-and-mortar shops of The Mobile Store in India with a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 19,999, respectively.
Analyst said that the partnership will benefit for both of the companies as both of the smartphones are in highly demand in Indian smartphone market. However, the supply is too low, which is very well known to each and every stakeholder.
In addition, the highly demanded smartphones will be available for sale in 55 stores at Delhi NCR, starting from Saturday. Manu Jain, Xiaomi India head said, “This will be the first time that we’re getting into offline trade in India. In China, about 20-30% of total sales through come from telecom operators stores while the rest comes from our online store – Mi.com.”
Previously, the firm has partnered the Inventec to manufacture its products in India itself. Xiaomi has announced that the Taiwanese company, Inventec will provide production facility to Xiaomi in Chennai and both the partners will start the production within the Q3, this year.
The Taiwanese ODM, Inventec is well known for the production of notebooks, consumer electronics, mobile phones and server products. Company Chairman Richard Lee reported that by the end of this year the shipments of ODM/OEM devices can reach to the figure of 100 million units. Meanwhile, 75 million units, in total were shipped in 2014. According to the analyst, the partnership between these two giants and Xiaomi’s previous statement.
Refreshing the specs, the Mi4 16 GB variant offers a 5-inch 1080p FHD IPS LCD and runs on MiUi6 based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat that is supported by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SOC processor. Moreover, the processor is coupled with a 3GB of RAM and powered with a 3080 mAh of gigantic battery.
As per the selfie trend, the company has fronted the device with a 8 megapixel of front facing selfie shooter. Meanwhile, for a decent photography experience the flagship device is packed with a 13 megapixel of primary image snapper that captures high-quality images in daylight and supports low light photography as well. The rear camera is featured with LED Flash, Sony IMX214 BSI sensor and 4K video recording.
