KARACHI: The internal testing of the WeBOC module by the officers of the Directorate General of Post Clearance Audit has helped identify a number of problems, informed sources told Customs Today on Friday.
For instance, the sources added, an audit observation sent to Principal Appraisers, Appraisers, Principal Auditor and Auditors for verification by the officers could be sent back to them after verification. If the officers need further verification and sent it back to the staff mentioned above, they could verify but could not sent it back to the officers the second time, the sources said.
The sources said that the issue would be brought to the attention of the Directorate General of Reforms and Automation, which provides the specifications to PRAL (Pakistan Revenue Automation Pvt Ltd), the developer of the modules.
The Directorate General PCA has provided audit observations to its officers, including the officers, Principal Appraiser and Appraisers, to test-run the module to see if it meets the specific requirement and processes that need to be improved or perfected.
