SEOUL: Samsung’s Galaxy tab S 8.4 LTE tablets will get Google’s Android 5.0 (Lollipop) that upgrades the current operating system in host devices.
According to a YouMobile report, users of the Galaxy tab S 8.4 LTE bearing model number SM-T705 should notice the more recent Android 5.0.2 firmware upgrade via the over-the-air (OTA) mechanism, and the new software can also be obtained through Samsung Kies.
The YouMobile report also states that the latest rollout has started from Hong Kong; it should not be too long before users of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE in other parts of the world get to see Android 5.0. YouMobile thinks that the firmware will reach more regions by the end of May 2015.
Samsung’s Galaxy tab S 8.4 LTE ran the outdated Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) operating platform out of the box after its release.
