HANOI: The rice exports of Vietnam dropped 3.2 percent last year to 6.38 million tonnes, Vietnam Customs said. On the other hand, the estimate of government is 6.41 million tonnes .
The grain exports have generated $2.95 billion in 2014, up 1.1 percent from the previous year, the customs department, run by the Finance Ministry, said in its monthly report.
Last month, the government estimated Vietnam’s rice shipment in the whole of 2014 at 6.41 million tonnes, down 2.7 percent from the previous year.
