LAHORE: The Punjab government has allocated Rs 4 billion for health insurance, Excise and Taxation Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman said. He added that insurance cards would be issued to the poor people in this regard.
The minister said the government wanted to provide state-of-the-art healthcare facilities to the card-holder patients. He said that Rs 600 million has been reserved to provide dialysis facilities to the poor kidney patients.
The minister said that programmes would be launched in which vocational and practical training would be provided to women, adding that maximum employment opportunities would also be provided to them so that they could play their role in socio-economic uplift of the country as well as their status.
