ISLAMABAD: The district administration, under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner (Rural) Amna Rafique, has cleared land of National Highway Authority (NHA) from encroachers in Rawat area.
A team of the National Highway Authority also participated in the anti-encroachment drive.
Meanwhile, in its campaign against adulterated food items and unhygienic food outlets, the Islamabad district administration has imposed heavy fines worth Rs70, 000 on owners of restaurants and hotels involved in selling unhygienic food items and poor sanitary conditions in the capital.
According to details, Islamabad Shalimar, Assistant Commissioner Nisha Ishtiaque, during the inspections of food outlets in F-10 Markaz, has imposed heavy fines worth Rs70,000 on owners of food outlets including restaurants and hotels, involved in selling unhygienic food items and poor sanitary conditions at the premises, in contravention of Pure Food Ordinance and hygiene and sanitation rules. The food outlets challaned include Orient Restaurant, KFC, F-10 Markaz, Gulshan Restaurant and Pizza Hut, F-10 Markaz on account of operating food outlets in contravention of hygiene and sanitation rules.
