MULTAN: The Multan Dry Port (MDP) has cleared five different import consignments of Refined, Bleached and Deodorized (RBD) palm oil during the march.
Multan Dry Port has handled and cleared five various import consignments of Refined Bleached and Deodorized palm oil. The RBD palm oil consignments were imported from Malaysia.
The RBD palm oil was imported by Hafeez Industries of Multan, which utilises this import consignments in the manufacturing of cooking oil and banaspati ghee.
The total value of RBD palm oil was imported and cleared from the Multan Dry Port during the month of March was almost Rs 92.017 million. The MDP has collected Customs duty of Rs 9.6 million from the clearance of five various RBD palm oil consignments in the month of March.
Shama Banaspati Ghee and Cooking Oil Pvt. limited is consuming RBD palm oil in the manufacturing of ghee and cooking oil. Additional 1 percent Federal Excise Duty of Rs 125,000 was also collected from the importer.
The Federal Excise duty of Rs 16.26 million and income tax of Rs 6.48 million were collected from the importer on the import of RBD palm oil during the month of March.
