KARACHI: The Lahore High Court has asked for explanation from federal government and FBR until January 7 on 5 percent increase in sales tax on petroleum products that later on reached 22 percent. The petition was filed by a lawyer named as Ishtiaq Chaudhary. The petitioner has taken a stance that government did not decrease prices even after decrease in prices in the world market. It was appealed to the court to declare the step illegal taken by the government.
