ASTANA: Kazakhstan expresses to increase its port traffic in China and wants to increase the container movement between China and Europe. A framework was signed between KTZ-Express JSC and Lianyungang which will be the basic step for acting upon it.
The two parties inked the agreement following a session of the Kazakhstan-China Business Council. Its intent is to enhance international shipments via the new Eurasian continental transport corridor.
Kazakhstan’s Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Welfare Fund has said the document stipulates container trains will move on a regular basis via the China-Europe and China-Central Asia routes and the Lianyungang port. The two parties also agreed to take concrete steps to facilitate increased transit volumes.
