KARACHI: Errors have been reported in the latest software IRIS launched by the Federal Board of Revenue to submit tax returns by electronic means.
Taxpayers are facing difficulty in submitting their tax returns and wealth statements through web portal. Sources said the Pakistan Tax Bar Association has written a six-page letter to FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa in which the flaws have been pointed out. They have also requested the FBR chairman to rectify the errors to help taxpayers submit their tax returns. The letter also read that the FBR has not issued SRO for corporate tax returns 2014 which was tantamount to making the corporate tax returns worthless.
