KARACHI: For the first time in the history of Pakistan, Customs’ anti-dumping duty (ADD) has been introduced and the lead was taken in this regard by the Model Customs Collectorate-East.
The Model Customs Collectorate-West and Port Qasim Authority have also followed the suit.
It is expected that the exchequer may receive a major chunk of revenue from this head, as it is likely to be implemented all over Pakistan.
Sources claimed that an amount of more than Rs 3 million has already been recovered by the MCC-East in this head from three clients alone, while a number of recoveries are in the pipeline, which will soon be claimed.
