Appraisement-East collects Rs 171.2 billion duty/taxes by April 15
KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement-East is optimistic to surpass the revenue target set by Federal Board of Revenue for current fiscal year 2014-15.
Official sources informed Customs Today that MCC Appraisement-East has collected Rs 171.2 billion during July-April 15 of current fiscal year whereas the set target was Rs 170.26 billion.
According to the details, MCC Appraisement-East showed 101 percent achievement in the collection of Customs Duty (CD), while the Sales Tax (ST) target attained by 99 percent.
Similarly, MCC Appraisement-East has surpassed the set target by 7 percent in wake of Withholding Tax (WHT) while it could achieve only 71 percent of Federal Excise Duty (FED) target by April 15 of current fiscal year 2014-15.
Officials hoped that the remaining revenue of the set target would be achieved by the end of this fiscal year.
