KARACHI: President Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA) Shaikh Ifthikar has urged all customs agents to attend the hearing of their cases from 9.00am to 5.00pm daily.
He made this announcement after meeting with Collector Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Appraisement-West Muhammad Saleem, in which the KCAA delegation apprised him of Customs agents’ issues regarding hearing of their cases.
President KCAA informed the Collector (MCC) Appraisement-West that Customs agents wait for hours in long queues for hearing of their cases, but Customs officials do not complete the hearing on that particular day.
On the occasion, Collector MCC-Appraisement (West) directed the officials concerned to conduct the hearing on time and avoid delaying the hearing of customs agents cases, so that they can deposit customs duty/tax on time.
He also agreed upon the viewpoint of KCAA in which it demanded to conduct hearing of the cases from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
