KARACHI: The appraisers’, examiners’ and unions of Class-IV employees’ have presented several demands before Chairman Common Pool Funds (CPF) Collector Muhammad Saleem during a CPF meeting held at the committee room located at the MCC Appraisement (West).
The meeting was chaired by Chairman CPF Muhammad Saleem while the other officers of MCC Appraisement (West) were also present on the occasion.
The presidents and general secretaries of all three employees’ unions attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the customs officials presented demands before the Chairman CPF and appealed that the employees’ unions hoped that the chairman will take appropriate steps in order to redress their issues pertaining to promotion, house hiring, verification of service books, fair distribution of reward money and others.
They demanded of the Chairman CPF ensure effective steps in order to implement the due promotion of the Customs officials; to issue house hiring allowance for the officials, to make arrangements in order to verify the “service books” of the employees from SR Cell, DDO and CAO, so that the officials can verify those service books from AGPR; to increase the amount of reward money announced by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) every year for achieving revenue targets and to increase the man power of customs officials at terminals and ports in order to streamline the clearance process.
The Chairman CPF, Collector Muhammad Saleem carefully listened the issues of the customs officials and assured that the CPF committee will take every possible step in order to resolve the issues of the employees.
Chairman CPF further said that the grievances of the employees would also be sent to the FBR headquarters for early resolution.
On the occasion, he also lauded the performance of the appraisers and examining officers despite shortage of staff and urged them to continue their working with the same enthusiasm.
