BAKU: Azerbaijan State Customs Committee (ASCC) has said that 10th PICARD Conference of the World Customs Organization (WCO) will be held in Baku.
The decision was made at the 9th WCO PICARD Conference, which was addressed by ASCC Chairman Aydin Aliyev. He highlighted the reforms carried out by the government reforms to modernise the country’s customs system. World Customs Organization Secretary General Kunio Mikuriya also elaborated activities of the organisation.
The WCO PICARD Programme was launched in 2006 to provide a platform to promote the professional standing of Customs business and provide an ideal channel for cooperation between Customs, academic partners and other stakeholders carrying out Customs-related research.
