BAKU: Iranian Customs Service Head Masoud Karbasian has said that cooperation between customs of Azerbaijan and Iran is at a good level and the leaders of both countries want to expand further bilateral ties in this regard.
Masoud Karbasian said this, while talking to media after meeting with State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan Chairman Aydin Aliyev in Baku. He said that commissioning of the Qazvin-Rasht-Astara railway would lead to the intensification of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.
Masoud said that it is necessary to ensure the transition of customs checkpoints in Bilasuvar and Astara on the round-the-clock mode, the introduction of a unified information system between the customs authorities. SCC Chairman Aydin Aliyev said that both the friendly countries had had fraternal relations for many centuries.
