BARCELONA: A joint venture between Alcatel-Lucent of France and TCL Communication of China, Alcatel OneTouch has revealed the new PIXI 3 smartphones and tablets at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona.
According to Alcatel OneTouch, it will release 5.5-inch PIXI 3 phone in 3G as well as 4G variants, 7-inch PIXI 3 tablet in Wi-Fi only, 3G and 4G variants as well as an 8-inch PIXI 3 tablet in 3G version.
Talking about the smartphone first, the PIXI 3 (5.5) phone sports a 5.5 display with qHD resolution in 3G version and 720p HD resolution in 4G. Rest of the specifications of the phone are also mostly different in the two versions. You can check out the detailed specs at the end of the report for each version.
“The newest member of our PIXI 3 family is an entry-level 5.5-inch smartphone, which offers a fast and immersive streaming experience thanks to a powerful CPU and large display. It’s the ideal smartphone for someone looking for a ton of options within a budget,” says Dan Dery, Chief Marketing Officer, Alcatel OneTouch.
There is no word on the pricing or availability details, but Alcatel OT has revealed that PIXI 3 5.5-inch phone will be available in nine colours – Volcano Black, White, Amber Orange, Tango Red, Neon Pink, Laser Yellow, Vivid Green, Sharp Blue and Metallic Silver.
Coming to the tablets, the PIXI 3 7-inch tablet include 1024x600p resolution display, 4GB of internal storage, 2MP rear camera, VGA front shooter, Android 4.4 and 2820 mAh battery.
The 8-inch version, on the other hand, comes with 1280x800p display, 1GB of RAM, 3240 mAh battery and Android 4.4
