WARSAW: The head of Poland FDI promotion agency PAIiIZ Slawomir Majman said that around 100 polish firms, including the big giants in industry PKN Orlen & Lotos fuels, PGNiG natgas, Grupa Azoty chemicals, Gaz System grid operator and rolling stock producer Pesa headed to Turkey as part of an economic mission chaired by Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna.
The main aim of the mission is to boost exports to Turkey, but Poland also hopes to attract investors, head of Poland’s FDI promotion agency PAIiIZ Slawomir Majman said. According to the statics issued earlier about exports to Turkey, which shows that the export to turkey grew by 16.7% year on year to USD 2.4 billion in 2014, while imports fell 3.2% to USD 3 billion.
